It was a decision by the cover artwork. How cool is that? That’s what I remember. I definitely read the review after my first listening. I can’t remember which internet fanzine picked Horse Rider but I’m glad that anyone at all did so. Sometimes it’s so joyful and heartfelt when you find new music, new music in the sense that your feelings simply need this musically snapshot and your inner self is simply served perfectly.

I discovered Bunny tonight via an IG Story post from the band Glaring Orchid. Often the best source is simply to trust the musicians you like and who cater to your bubble of taste. No promotion pulled out of your fingers can compete with that.

It was back in February 2025 when my IG-algorythm catapulted this band into my timeline. They shared the stage or there were announcement of shows with Fleshwater and Dazy around this time. Somtimes it’s totally worth it to look at the supporting bands and artists. And so it was with Tarantula. Flatspot Records was following their account too. So two plus points on the list. The rest came after listening to the first notes of the song Stitches. The whole record is so easy to listen to. Everything fits and sounds great.

Approx. 2007 when Stereogram premiered the song I Dream Of Rodney from the record Don’t Quit, which is still on my vinyl bucketlist (and it will be forever on that list, cause it was never released on vinyl).
KILLER MOMENTS
The Buddyrevelles have such a nice quirky alternative sound, so unpopular and deviating from the norm – somewhere between Pavement and Pinback.

I watched the livestream of their gig at the digital Eurosonic 2021 where the band performed in a basement (probably in Manchester) and I was very impressed by the performance itself and the songs. I bought the single Nothingness on vinyl immediately on its release date and got a nice note from the band on the cover of the 7inch. I followed them over the past years and was glad they came Europe mainland in April 2025. The gig in Liege, Belgium was a highlight.
